I received an “AVS Rejection” error when I placed my order - what’s going on?
An “AVS Rejection” error is a message from your credit card company telling us that there’s something they don’t like about the address you entered at checkout.
AVS is an address verification service employed by credit card companies in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom; it’s designed to prevent someone else using your credit card fraudulently.
The system checks the address your card issuer has on file against the address you provide in checkout. If they spot a significant difference, the AVS system flags a problem.
IMPORTANT: When placing your MAGFAST pre-order, please be sure to enter your billing address - the one that matches your statements.
Can I set different billing and shipping addresses?
You will be asked for your shipping address when you receive notification from us that your pre-order is ready to ship. Also, you may update your shipping information through your MAGFAST account. Or just email us to Hello@MAGFAST.com and we'll do it for you.
I received an “AVS Rejection” error, but it looks like you still charged me.
If you received an “AVS Rejection” error, that means your card was declined by your card issuer, and your pre-order did not process.
However, it might still appear for a while that your card was charged. This is because your bank puts a pre-authorization hold on the sum you attempted to charge.
As the transaction will not be authorized, your payment will be returned to you by your bank. Please allow a few days for this to show up correctly on your bank statement.
Still having trouble placing a pre-order? Please contact MAGFAST customer service. Even when the banks are making mischief, we’re here to help!
