We do have a pretty generous warranty, however there are limitations on what it covers.
Denials are usually due to one or more of the following reasons:
- Misuse or Rough Handling
- Accidental Damage or Neglect
- Pet or Pest Damage
- Exposure to liquids
- Environmental Factors or Acts of God
- Your cable was ordered as a free trial offer.
- Your cable has lived its life & after 3 years can’t really be expected to keep up the work.
- The warranty claim information you provided did not include the proof and date of ownership and/or your Lux cable was never registered.
Please find further information which may help you understand situations and/or actions that void your warranty coverage.
- Improper Handling: The cable has been pulled or bent excessively, particularly at the connectors, leading to internal wire breakage
- Crushed or Severed Cable: The cable has been run over, crushed, or cut, resulting in a break in the internal wires or the outer insulation.
- Bent or Damaged Connector: The charging connector itself is bent, broken, or shows signs of stress from improper insertion or removal disrupting the cables function
- Impact Damage: The cable or connector has been subjected to a forceful impact, such as being dropped or hit by something.
- Tears or Fraying: The cable insulation is torn or frayed, especially near the connectors, exposing the wires inside.
- Exposure to Liquids: The cable has come into contact with water, sweat, or other liquids, leading to corrosion or short circuits.
- Forcing the Connector: Attempting to plug the connector into a port incorrectly or forcing it in can damage both the cable and the device.
- Exposure to excessive force or pulling which stress the cable's termination points causing stress fractures in the wires. Damaged connectors - Bent pins, corroded contacts, or cracks in the connector housing which would hinder proper signal transmission.
- Exposing the cable to harsh chemicals or environments Cleaning the cable with harsh chemicals, or exposing it to corrosive substances, can damage the connection points
